Johanna Drucker, Distinguished Professor and Breslauer Professor in the Depart- ment of Information Studies at UCLA, is internationally known for her work in the history of graphic design, typogra- phy, experimental poetry, art, and dig- ital humanities. Recent work includes Inventing the Alphabet (University of Chicago Press, 2022), Visualisation L’In- terprétation modélisante (B42, 2020), and Iliazd: Meta-Biography of a Modernist (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2020). Her artist’s books, widely represented in museum and library collections, were the subject of a travelling retrospective, Druckworks: 40 years of books and pro- jects, in 2012. In 2021 she received the AIGA’s Steven Heller Award for Cultural Criticism..
