Jan Distelmeyer is Professor for Media History and Media Theory in the Eu- ropean Media Studies program of the Potsdam University of Applied Scienc- es and the University of Potsdam. He is founding member of the Branden- burg Center for Media Studies (ZeM) and of the Research College ‘Sensing: The Knowledge of Sensitive Media’. Re- cent publications include Critique of Digitality (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022) and Algorithmen & Zeichen.
