Daniela Wentz is a post-doctoral researcher in the joint project “Interact! New Forms of Social Interaction with Intelligent Systems” at Ruhr University Bochum. She is involved in the media studies section of Interact!, which focuses on affective computing and artificial emotional intelligence. In her project, she explores the interrelation between media and autism from a media-historical and epistemological perspective, taking digital and smart technologies for the diagnosis and therapy of autistic people as a starting point. She received her PhD from Bauhaus University, Weimar, with a media-philosophical thesis on diagrammatics and seriality (Bilderfolgen. Diagrammatologie der Fernsehserie [Paderborn 2017]).
